The SATA 22P IDC Female Cable Connector with Positioning Peg is designed for high-reliability electronic signal and power transmission in SATA-based server, storage and industrial systems. With a 1.27mm pitch housing and 22 female terminals, it is ideal for compact, high-density wire and cable assemblies between PCBs and drives.
Terminals are made from phosphor bronze C5191-H (t = 0.25mm) and plated with 50u" minimum nickel over the entire terminal, gold G/F on the contact area to reduce contact resistance and improve corrosion resistance, and 80u" minimum tin on the solder & crimp area for strong bonding to copper wires. This plating stack ensures stable electrical and electronic signal performance over long service life.
The LCP glass-filled housing (UL94-V0, black) provides excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability and heat resistance required in demanding electrical equipment. Electrically, the connector supports 1.5A @ 40VAC, with ≤30mΩ contact resistance, ≥1000MΩ insulation resistance and 500VAC dielectric withstand, delivering clean signal and power transmission for SATA interfaces.
The positioning peg allows accurate connector alignment in fixtures or over-mold tools, while the IDC / crimp structure supports efficient mass production of customized wire cable harnesses for server, storage, automotive and industrial applications.

- Select appropriate wire gauge and insulation according to the 1.5A @ 40VAC rating and your power / signal requirements.
- Follow the recommended IDC / crimping process to make sure the tin-plated crimp area is fully engaged, ensuring low resistance and high mechanical strength.
- Keep gold-plated contact areas clean; avoid touching terminals with bare fingers to prevent contamination and oxidation.
- During assembly, use the positioning peg to align the connector correctly in jigs, shells or over-mold tools, reducing stress on terminals.
- Do not exceed the specified mating/unmating forces and always respect the single-pin retention ≥0.8kgf to maintain connector integrity.
- Store connectors in dry, anti-static packaging, and handle them in ESD-protected areas when installing into sensitive PCB or electronic systems.
